Hello, world! Hope you are staying safe and healthy amidst this historic pandemic. While it has limited the amount of photography for a lot of us, I keep getting warm messages of modders taking this time to build their creations. Glad to know that though we can’t really go out in the world to take photographs, we are making the best of our time.
Now for a new tip. In previous tutorials (video or written), I’ve recommended using hot glue or silicone to seal where the Mamiya Press adapter meets the Instax Wide 300 body. You still want to use super glue or CA glue to fix it in place, but I was recommended a better sealing material and it has worked out great–SUGRU!
Here’s a shot below of what the sealed area looks like after application of the Sugru. Yes it’s a pricey material, but it takes MUCH less time, and it makes for a cleaner job. Make sure you use latex gloves so you can prevent fingertips while smoothing the area out.
