Description

Important Notes:

  • Typical shooting “recipe” is f16-22 @ 1/30-1/60, with 2 fresnel lenses + no diffuser. Mix and match 1-3 fresnels + diffuser/no-diffuser for desired look.
  • Distance to subject is 43.2″ or 3.6ft from the front glass, 4.545ft from film plane.
  • Included flash is a bit underpowered, f11-16 may be required. Recommended to upgrade to Vivitar 252, or Nissin 30 flash (MC-30, EF-30, etc).
  • Side eject button is always “live,” please be careful to avoid accidental ejection.
  • Hold eject button down for 1-2 seconds and release to eject the film.
  • Diffuser holder ships loose for packaging reasons, and will require installation, or leave it off if using a more professional flash/strobe setup.
  • Be mindful that this is for 600 speed Polaroid film, so ambient/outdoor lighting may have an impact.
  • Framing on this prototype is tight but a bit off center, with subject drifting to the left side of the print. Some practice and adjustment may be necessary. For vertical alignment, focus and center on the tip of the nose.
  • Resulting image is flipped since there is no mirror involved. When making adjustments keep in mind that the left side of the print is really the right hand side of the subject, and vice versa for the right side of the print.
  • Lens can be removed from the lens board. Lens board is secured by 4x M2 screws (hex key included).
