Description
This lightweight solution is not for everyone. The reduction in size and weight sacrifices the very useful rangefinder of the Mamiya Press cameras. This setup is mostly recommended for wide lenses and lighting situations that allow you to stop down for more forgiving depth of field, but we are not stopping you from nailing focus and exposure with the manual shooting superpowers (and beefy arms) you have gained with help from the Mamiya Press system (long live).
Features:
– Mamiya Press lens compatibility. Secure the lens via friction, but set screw is available if necessary.
– (1) Mounting plate for the CB-70 back*
– (1) Body
– (1) Custom modified 3×4 Kodak darkslide
– (1) Center raised cold shoe for viewfinder accessory.
– (1) Side cold shoe for an extra accessory.
– Ideal horizontal clearance for Reveni light meter, leveling cubes/bubbles, and similarly sized accessories.
– 8x M2 bolts & nuts included to connect body to mounting plate.
– 3/8″ to 1/4″ reducer bushing for tripod connection.
– Includes Impossible Drive Kit: top cover, bottom cover, metal spring. Will require customer assembly & installation.
– Temperature and stress tolerance is significantly better compared to PLA and PETG camera parts/bodies.
* Mounting plate does not include hardware, due to our inexperience will all variants of the film back. Holes are included for the variant that we are familiar with, but any others may need to be double-stick taped or glued on. The mounting plate can be drilled but the use of washers is recommended if you will use screws and need to make new holes.
